Have you struggled to be consistent with exercise?
Slope Health is here to change that.
We get you active without having to worry about going to the gym or sweating like crazy.
We focus on building the habits you need to be active in your daily life and meet the WHOs recommended 22 minutes of moderate activity per day.
We start by setting the right mindset for success and building consistency.
Our 12-week activity program builds your knowledge and skills so that you can integrate activity into your daily schedule. You will complete three snackable learning sessions each week and see your activity levels increase.
The road to success starts with our motivational survey and lifestyle assessment. This helps us identify your key motivations and the real-life constraints to create a realistic approach to living an active lifestyle.
To monitor your activity progression, you can select from three options:
--heart rate data from your wearable
--steps from your health app
--manual entry
Along the way we will send you recommendations and encouragement to maintain your progress.
The goal is to equip you with the tools you need to live your best life.
The fitness industry has sold us an image of exercise as going to a gym and sweating for 30-60 minutes. The reality is that less than 13% of people does this consistently. Most people live busy lives where they are trying to balance work, family, and personal time. We focus on how you can live an active lifestyle that integrates into your life.
We follow the perspective of Dr. Jack Berryman, Exercise Historian, who says, "“Mowing the grass, raking leaves, washing the car–all that’s exercise. Physical activity includes all movement, not just throwing a ball through a basket.”
Our program works best for people who are lightly to moderately active. Our pilot saw these users increase their activity 40-77% using Slope.
We’ve developed Slope with the input of psychologists, doctors, and exercise physiologists to ensure that we are using the right methods for success. We use a combination of motivational interviewing, the hierarchy of goals, and goal-affirmation to build your habits.
